Secular Cantatas on Contemporary Texts for solo voice and baroque ensemble

The Antico Moderno 2016 Composers Workshop gives participants a chance to work closely with a professional period chamber ensemble so that they may enhance their knowledge of historical instruments  and performance practices and the musical/compositional possibilities these offer. Selected participants will work closely with A/M in an intensive week of lectures and workshops culminating in a concert premiering the new works. The tuition fee will cover 3-6 hours of rehearsal time per participant, premiere, and recording of the participant's work on the June 17th in Boston and June 18th concert in downtown Manhattan.

To Apply
Please email anticomodernomusic@gmail.com a resume and a recent sample of a chamber-sized work (recording and/or score). The application deadline is April 1st. Participants will be notified by April 15th if they have been selected to attend the workshop
