Secular Cantatas on Contemporary Texts for solo voice and baroque ensemble

The Antico Moderno 2016 Composers Workshop gives participants a chance to work closely with a professional period chamber ensemble so that they may enhance their knowledge of historical instruments  and performance practices and the musical/compositional possibilities these offer. Selected participants will work closely with A/M in an intensive week of lectures and workshops culminating in a concert premiering the new works. The tuition fee will cover 3-6 hours of rehearsal time per participant, premiere, and recording of the participant's work on the June 17th in Boston and June 18th concert in downtown Manhattan.

To Apply
Please email a resume and a recent sample of a chamber-sized work (recording and/or score). The application deadline is April 1st. Participants will be notified by April 15th if they have been selected to attend the workshop
